East Village got its start as an Eastern European community. Its desirable location is just 10 minutes from the Loop, a few blocks from the hip Wicker Park neighborhood, and just East of Ukrainian Village. Like much of the area, East Village neighborhood has been reborn, thanks to urban pioneers, artists, and entrepreneurs who were attracted by lower real estate prices.
